Sapphic history in gothic home décor.
A reminder that protection, memory, and pride belong at home.
Protect the coven. Remember who came before us. Take up space.
The
Protect The Coven / Dyke Rising Throw Pillow
is a celebration of sapphic resistance, community,
liberation, and pride—wrapped in a little witchcraft
and a lot of defiance.
At the center stands a proud dyke protecting her coven,
surrounded by imagery drawn from generations of lesbian
and queer resistance.
The
labrys became associated with
lesbian feminist movements and came to represent
strength, independence, and sapphic solidarity.
The reclaimed triangle points back to queer people
transforming imagery once used against our community
into symbols of resistance.
And then there is the word
DYKE itself—
a word historically thrown at lesbians as an insult,
but also reclaimed by generations of lesbians who
refused to carry somebody else's shame.
Protect your people.
Protect our history.
Protect the coven.
This is our nod to the lesbians who fought before us,
to the queer people who turned persecution into resistance,
and to the butches, femmes, dykes, witches, activists,
outsiders, and troublemakers who built community when
the world told them not to.
This isn't just spooky décor.
It's liberation, memory, protection, and pride.
