OUR STORY · QUEER OWNED · VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED
Hi, we’re Remy & Nellie.
We’re partners, veterans, and the people behind The Sapphic Holiday Company—a place built around sapphic humor, history, culture, community, and making every season feel a little more like us.
WHY WE’RE HERE
We wanted to see more of us.
The gifts, décor, apparel, and seasonal products around us rarely seemed to reflect the full personality of the sapphic community.
We wanted things that felt like something we’d actually give each other, bring to a friend’s house, laugh about in a group chat, or keep because the story behind it meant something.
Sometimes that starts with a ridiculous joke. Sometimes it starts with a symbol, a piece of queer history, or a story we don’t want forgotten. Usually, it’s a little bit of both.
A LITTLE ABOUT US
Meet Remy & Nellie.
Two veterans, partners, and co-founders who thought sapphic holidays could use a little more personality.

We started The Sapphic Holiday Company because we wanted a brand that felt like the community we actually know: funny, complicated, creative, diverse, historically aware, and impossible to squeeze into one version of what “sapphic” is supposed to look like.
We’re building it with curiosity, a sense of humor, a willingness to learn, and a lot of conversations that begin with, “Okay, but what if we made this gayer?”
You’ll see Remy around our social channels sharing history, community conversations, behind-the-scenes chaos, and whatever we’re currently excited about.
But The Sapphic Holiday Co. is something we’re building together—from the products and stories to the bigger idea behind all of it.
WHAT MATTERS TO US
Here’s what we’re building toward.
The laugh matters. So does the story behind it.
Make room.
There isn’t one way to look, love, live, celebrate, or belong in the sapphic community. We want the people and stories around this brand to reflect more of that reality.
Know the story.
Symbols, words, jokes, traditions, and references don’t appear out of nowhere. We want to talk about where they came from and the people who carried them forward.
Reclaim what is ours.
Queer communities have transformed words and symbols tied to shame, resistance, protest, and survival. We want to preserve those histories rather than strip them of context.
Keep it within reach.
Community-specific products shouldn’t automatically come with a giant specialty markup. Affordability matters when we decide what to make and how to price it.
MORE THAN MERCH
Come for the jokes.
Stay for the stories.
We love designs that make someone stop mid-scroll and laugh.
But we also love the question that comes next:
“Wait—what does that symbol mean?”
That’s where things get interesting.
The labrys. Reclaimed triangles. Lavender. Violets. Language the community took back. People whose names disappeared from the version of history many of us were taught.
That’s why we created The Sapphic Archive—a growing home for the history, symbols, culture, people, and stories behind the community we celebrate.
